Election Day Is Tomorrow: 501 Polling Places Open Across San Francisco, 7 A.M. to 8 P.M.
Tuesday, Nov. 3 is the Consolidated General Election. The City Hall Voting Center, 501 neighborhood polling places and 37 ballot drop boxes are all in play — here is how San Francisco votes tomorrow.

Election Day is tomorrow — Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026 — and San Francisco's Department of Elections will open 501 neighborhood polling places across the city from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are in line when polls close at 8 p.m., stay in line: you can still vote.
Every registered voter in the city was mailed a ballot, and tomorrow is the last day to return it. Completed ballots can be dropped at any of San Francisco's 37 official ballot drop boxes until 8 p.m., handed in at any polling place, or returned at the City Hall Voting Center — on the ground floor of City Hall in front of Room 48 — which is open to all city voters from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3; election officials urge anyone mailing this late to get a hand-stamped postmark at a post office counter.
Missed the Oct. 19 registration deadline? It is not too late. Through Conditional Voter Registration, eligible residents can still register and vote in person at the City Hall Voting Center through Nov. 3, or at any San Francisco polling place on Election Day. California voters are generally not required to show ID at the polls.
At the top of the ballot, California voters choose a new governor — the seat is open this year — along with federal, state and local contests and ballot measures. San Francisco's ballot is long, and the Department of Elections' voter portal can show you your polling place and ballot information before you leave home.
Poll workers staff every location, language assistance and accessible voting equipment are available, and the department can be reached at (415) 558-6100. Make the plan tonight: which location, which hour, ballot in hand. Tomorrow, the city does the rest.
